The shortest day of the year deserves a long memory, and this snowshoe trek is a fine way to welcome winter’s solstice. From the Annette Lake Trailhead, we’ll set out along the Palouse to Cascades Trail for a 5.6-mile journey with about 770 feet of gain, aiming for the historic Snoqualmie Tunnel.
